It provides end-to-end management of sailing events including online registration, integrated payment processing via Stripe, scoring for fleet racing (One Design, PHRF, ORC, RYA Portsmouth and IRC), high point series, team racing and match racing, digital waivers, crew management, and results publication. Regatta Hub is free to use, with a $5 per entry fee only in regattas that take payments through Regatta Hub. No monthly fees.
How does the first regatta free offer work? +
to run your first paid regatta completely free with full access to all features. A credit card is required to sign up, but you won't be charged for your first event. After that, Regatta Hub stays free to use, with just $5 per entry in regattas that take payments through Regatta Hub and no monthly fees.
What scoring systems do you support? +
Regatta Hub supports 6 scoring systems: PHRF, ORC, and One Design fleet scoring, plus high point series scoring, team racing (Appendix D), and match racing (Appendix C). All scoring is fully RRS compliant with proper handling of DNS, DNF, DSQ, and other codes. Classes can also use RYA Portsmouth or IRC ratings, and Advanced scoring settings add medal races, practice races, club finish codes, your own points table and your own rating formula for the regattas that need them. How do sailors pay entry fees? +
Option 1: Collect payments through Regatta Hub (recommended)
Connect your Stripe account and sailors pay by credit card during registration. Funds go directly to your club's bank account—we never hold your money. You control when payouts happen. Stripe's processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) applies.
Option 2: Collect payments yourself
Prefer bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, checks, or cash? Choose Collected by the organizer: sailors see the entry fee and any extras they ordered, get your payment instructions after they enter, and are never asked for a card. You mark entries as paid as the money arrives. If the regatta takes no payments through Regatta Hub, there is no Regatta Hub fee. How to set it up.
How does the $5 per entry billing work? +
Regatta Hub is free to use. When a regatta takes payments through Regatta Hub, you're charged $5 for every entry in it, automatically invoiced via Stripe, including free entries and entries paid later or to you. A regatta that doesn't take payments through Regatta Hub, because you collect every fee yourself or it's free, has no charge. No monthly fees, no annual contracts, no hidden costs.
Can sailors register on mobile? +
Yes. Regatta Hub is built mobile-first using modern React technology. Sailors can register on their phones from anywhere. The experience is optimized for mobile, from registration to checking results.
Is my data secure? +
Yes. Your regatta data is securely hosted and protected. Data is isolated per organization and backed up regularly.
How long does it take to set up a regatta? +
Setup time varies by regatta complexity, but drag-and-drop fleet management makes it straightforward. You can create divisions, add races, set scoring systems, and open registration without navigating complex menus.
